The walnut tinted lens is a great alternative for a BioColors prosthetic in the case of corneal scarring without subsequent light sensitivity. These lenses are translucent, brown tints that will sufficiently mask corneal scarring. **These lenses are NOT opaque**
Walnut tints that are tinted as a solid iris (no clear or black pupil, solid brown) tint can also be used to help reduce light sensitivity in patients with photophobia.
The lens design is available with the following options:
- Black Pupil Sizes – 3.0 4.0 5.0 6.0
- Clear Pupil Sizes – 4.5 6.0
- Full lens tint (the entire diameter of the contact lens would be tinted)
- 10.5 iris diameter tint (solid tint, no clear or black pupil with clear skirt edge)
- 11.5 iris diameter (solid tint, no clear or black pupil with clear skirt edge)
- Materials Available – Methafilcon 55%, Hioxifilcon 49%, and Polymacon 38%
